BAGLUNG, Sept 14: The bodies of those who died in a jeep accident in Galkot, Baglung, along the Mid-Hill Highway on Friday are undergoing autopsy and will be handed over to their families by this evening.
On Friday morning, a pickup (Ra 1 Jha 200) heading from Kathmandu towards East Rukum, fell 300 meters off the road at Bhunkhani, Galkot Municipality-2, resulting in the deaths of three people.
According to Police Inspector Pratap Paudel of the District Police Office, Baglung, the autopsy started this morning at the Galkot Municipal Hospital and the bodies will be handed over to the families by this evening.
The deceased include Bhupendra Budha, the vice chairperson of Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality, her mother 61-year-old Gopimaya Budha, and Jasbir Sirpali, the Chairperson of Ward 3.
In the accident, 29-year-old driver Prem Bahadur Pun, who was seriously injured, was sent to Pokhara for further treatment after a CT scan at Dhaulagiri Hospital.
