KATHMANDU, May 1: India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has extended invitations to all key political parties in Nepal, including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's party, the CPN (Maoist Center), to witness the ongoing election campaigns in India.

The invitation aims to foster bilateral relations and regional cooperation between India and Nepal. 

Representatives from 18 political parties spanning 10 countries are set to arrive in India at the invitation of the BJP for a firsthand experience and insights into the BJP's election campaign strategies.

Scheduled for May 1st, 2024, at the BJP Headquarters, the delegates will convene with BJP National President JP Nadda. Additionally, they will engage in discussions with Dr S Jaishankar, Minister for External Affairs, and Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways. The agenda includes a comprehensive briefing on the BJP's election campaign strategies and an overview of the electoral process.

Among the participating political parties are notable entities such as Australia's Liberal Party, Vietnam's Communist Party of Vietnam, Bangladesh's Bangladesh Awami League, and Israel's Likud Party. Additionally, delegations from Uganda's National Resistance Movement, Tanzania's Chama Cha Mapinduzi, and Russia's United Russia Party will be present.

Moreover, political representatives from Sri Lanka, including the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and the United National Party, will participate. From Mauritius, the delegation includes the Militant Socialist Movement, Mauritius Labor Party, Mauritian Militant Movement, and Parti Mauricien Social Democrate. Nepal's representation encompasses parties like the Nepali Congress, Janamat Party, CPN-UML, Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist), and Rastriya Swatantra Party.

The visit is part of the BJP's global outreach program, 'KNOW BJP,' which was launched by Nadda on the 43rd Foundation Day of the party.
