KATHMANDU, May 4: Nepal is gearing up for its final showdown against West Indies 'A' today at TU's home ground before the ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled for next month, featuring clashes between the West Indies and America.

The final match of the five-match series will start at 12:15PM. West Indies ‘A’ have won the series 3-1 in the first four matches.

This match serves as crucial preparation for Nepal, who clinched victory in the opening encounter but faced defeats by margins of 10 runs, 76 runs, and 28 runs in subsequent games.

Karan KC, rested in the previous game, may return to bolster Nepal's lineup. The team is banking on strong performances from openers Kushal Bhurtel and Asif Sheikh.

Captain Rohit Paudel has been in stellar form, amassing 112, 71, and 82 runs in the series. However, consistent contributions from other batters remain crucial as Nepal aims for a collective effort before the World Cup.

West Indies 'A' has named opener Johnson Charles, spin all-rounder Gudakesh Motie, and Roston Chase in their T20 World Cup squad. Having already clinched the series, they will play without the burden of pressure.

Following this match, the Nepali team is set to depart for the West Indies tonight. After some training sessions there, Nepal will head to America for further matches.

The T20 World Cup kicks off on June 2, with Nepal's first match against Netherlands scheduled for June 4. Placed in Group D alongside Netherlands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
